Physicist and engineer who translates frontier science into deployable systems; founded PDTI to build deep-tech companies with aligned terms

Andrew Piskadlo is CEO and President of Pioneering Deep Tech Institute and Director of EmberGraph Intel, PDTI's first sponsored portfolio company.

Engineer and analytical chemist (B.S. Physics & Chemistry, Westminster College; M.S. Mechanical Engineering, University of Utah, 2025; concentration in mechatronics and process design; ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor). Founded Utah Research Institute in 2022; the institute was renamed Pioneering Deep Tech Institute effective December 2025.

At URI he led the NPI program and developed a point-of-care urinary collagen IV / eGFR correlation methodology for early chronic kidney disease detection — manuscript currently in submission to *Kidney International Reports*. Drove process-discipline transformation: 25% → 90% first-pass yield, 86% defect reduction on a URI manufacturing program. Co-led the 109-part mechatronic prosthetic design transfer at URI with Dr. Nick Witham under SolidWorks ePDM configuration control. Authored federal grant proposals across NSF SBIR, NIH, NASA, and DoD pipelines.

Co-architect of EmberGraph Intel — empty repository to working production in six weeks at ~$200 in API costs; eight-person team including three PhDs, all pre-payroll through architecture. Math-based forensic graph analysis on public records.
