Physicist and engineer who translates frontier science into deployable systems; founded PDTI to build deep-tech companies with aligned terms

Andrew Piskadlo is a founder and CEO of Pioneering Deep Tech Institute, building deep-technology companies from concept to deployed systems.

Trained as a physicist and analytical chemist (B.S. Physics & Chemistry) and engineer - M.S. Mechanical Engineering, Andrew founded Utah Research Institute (URI) in 2022 and now leads PDTI's portfolio across medical devices, diagnostics, and AI-embedded systems. His focus is identifying where frontier science meets real market need, architecting the technical and business pathways to get there, and recruiting the teams to execute.

Before founding, Andrew spent a decade in research, medical device development, and regulatory compliance—designing point-of-care diagnostics, managing embedded systems for FDA Class I and II devices, and translating academic research into clinical validation. His work spans microfluidics, embedded neural networks, synthetic chemistry, and hardware optimization, often simultaneously.

At PDTI, he directs strategy, technology translation, fundraising, and founder recruitment. He works across disciplines because the problems he solves require it.
